If ever there were an expert on dressing for the The Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Musuem of Art (aka the Met Gala), our own LSD would be it.  A Vogue alum and fashion veteran, LSD knows the ins and outs of fashion’s Academy Awards better than anyone! This Spring, the Met ball will honor the “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations“exhibit and M’O is joining the celebration with a trunkshow of Schiaparelli’s gorgeous vintage jewelry.  

LSD is set for the Met in what we’re sure will be a ravishing Oscar de la Renta dress, but her accessories are yet to be confirmed.  Perusing the Schiaparelli selection, she contemplates channelling Wallis Simpson and wearing the 1950s bird brooch for just a touch of thematic adornment.  “At the Met gala, you want to stay on theme without taking it too literally,” LSD notes, “You can be inspired but keep in mind: its a ball, not a costume party!” Thankfully, a ball is the perfect place for Schiaparelli’s stunners!  -H.B.
