While many designers dream of Hollywood royalty wearing their creations, this dream is a reality for Wes Gordon. Style stars January Jones and Katy Perry chose two standout pieces from the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist’s spring/summer 2013 collection. Jones, whose look recalls bygone-era elegance, selected a swan-print dress with lace insets for the 41st Annual Peace Over Violence Awards. ”Who doesn’t love Mad Men and January Jones?” Gordon asks. “She has a mesmerizing old-Hollywood glamour. While it’s hard for me to pick, this just might be my favorite dress in the collection.” Pop sensation Katy Perry, who is as famous for her bold wardrobe choices as her catchy tunes, opted for a navy body-con cocktail dress, emblazoned with a swan print for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund event. “I’m a huge fan of Katy’s,” Gordon says. “She’s so talented and such a genuinely kind person. It was a huge thrill to have her wear this dress—she looked fantastic!” Having trouble choosing which dress to swan around in? Well, you know what they say: Wes is More! —C.D.U.
