Áslaug Magnúsdóttir is the CEO of Moda Operandi. Dubbed "fashion's fairy godmother" by Vogue, and one of the most influential people in British retail by Draper's, Áslaug came up with the idea for M’O while working with designers in New York and abroad. Aslaug brings to the company business acumen and a distinctive eye for fashion. Prior to launching M’O, Áslaug was an executive at Gilt Groupe and co-founded TSM Capital with retail legend Marvin Traub. Previously, while living in London, Aslaug was Head of Venture Business at Baugur Investment Company and worked as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Co. Áslaug’s career began in Iceland, where she was a corporate and tax attorney at Deloitte. A Fulbright Scholar, Áslaug holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an LLM from Duke University School of Law and a degree in Law from the University of Iceland. Áslaug has served on the Board of Directors of numerous fashion and retail companies, including Matthew Williamson and Rachel Roy.

A Vogue Contributing Editor, Lauren is hailed as one of the most influential style setters of her generation. She brings her extensive experience and deep relationships within the industry to the table, providing the creative vision behind the M’O experience. Lauren grew up in Greenwich Connecticut, and attended University of Southern California before moving to New York to pursue a career in fashion, working first as an Assistant and later Associate Market Editor for Vogue. Having been dubbed “one of the most keenly watched women in New York”, Lauren’s personal style has been an inspiration to editors, designers, and street style blogs alike.
